During your flat moving quote we would have provided availability based on your requested flat removal date. Often actual moving dates can change after obtaining quotes and this is no problem for us. When you are ready to proceed with booking, you can accept your quote and reserve your selected moving date. Deposit payments of 25% are required to confirm your flat moving service.
3. PREPARING FOR FLAT REMOVALS
1. Packing and Disassembling:
If you are packing and disassembling yourself it is recommended to use quality packing boxes and supplies for protection of your belongings to prevent damage. Items should be well packed and wrapped in advance of our flat movers arriving.
2. Item Location:
Unlike some removal companies, our flat movers are happy to collect items from any area of the home and they do not need to be outside when the movers arrive. It is however recommended to create space for access and walkways for safety.
3. Parking:
Appropriate parking will need to be reserved for your flat removal at both collection and relocation addresses. Parking will need to be suitable for the size of van that is allocated – details of this will be forwarded with booking details. Underground parking is often not suitable for vans or vehicles larger than cars.
4. Access To Property:
When moving flat sometimes third parties can be involved i.e concierge teams, flat exchanges and other persons. It is always worth communicating closely with all parties in advance to ensure access to both properties is available at the agreed time.
-Concierge; aware of our teams arrival; whether it’s for parking or access to the property. Also where lift use is required they can help with preventing inconvenience to neighbours.
-Parking; if not from the concierge then suitable parking is reserved and available at the time of our teams arrival.
-Lift; requesting sole access to communal lifts (where possible) or informing the relevant people to ensure neighbours or other parties are not inconvenienced. Also to be aware of lift sizes and weight capcities if larger items are being moved.

Q. DO I NEED DISASSEMBLY SERVICES?
A. Disassembly of items is usually required when moving from flats due to the transporting large items through tight and communal areas or down several stairs. It is always safer to take them apart where possible. Of course you can perform disassembly yourself if preferred. Our request process will ask you which services you want us to asisst with.
Q. CAN I CHANGE MY FLAT REMOVAL DATE?
A. If you need to change a scheduled flat removal, it’s best to inform us as soon as possible to allow us to accomodate this to the best of our ability. Where enough notice is provided this is never an issue for us.
Q. HOW SOON DO I BOOK FLAT MOVING SERVICE?
A. As soon as possible is best to be able to secure your selected moving date. Our removals company endeavour to accomodate all flat relocations where possible. To book our flat removal service, we recommend booking 3 weeks in advance of your moving date.
Q. ARE CANCELLATIONS CHARGEABLE?
A. Unfortunately we do apply a cancellation fee for flat removal cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice. Any cancellations with more notice will be refunded in full if not rescheduled.
Q. DO FLAT REMOVALS INCLUDE INSURANCE?
A. As a removals company we provide liability insurance for all of our removal services. Unfortunately however we do not cover items that are self packed. We do provide full insurance with our full service removals and our flat movers are responsible for the packing and protection of furniture and items.
